ORDER OF PEER REVIEW OF SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES
Scientific articles submitted for publication in the journal undergo a preliminary examination (the diagnostics are carried out by members of the editorial board – specialists in the relevant field) and are then accepted for publication within the framework of the current procedure.
The requirements for formatting the final version of the article text are published in each issue of the journal.
Upon acceptance of the manuscript form of the article, the journal staff informs the author about the content and compliance with the main requirements, and the deficiencies present in the article must be eliminated before consideration by the author.
Then the scientific article is reviewed in accordance with the current requirements by members of the editorial board or specialists in the relevant field (candidates and doctors of sciences).
The review must substantiate the important features of the article. In particular, the scientific novelty, the importance of studying the issue, the historical and factual value of the article, the correctness of the cited quotations, the style of the text, the use of literature from recent years, and the shortcomings of the article. Based on the results of the review, the article is given an overall assessment, and the following conclusions are presented to the editorial board: recommend for publication; recommend for publication after correcting deficiencies; additionally send for consideration to another specialist on the relevant issue; not recommended for publication. The volume of the review should not be less than one page.
Scientific articles accepted for publication but requiring amendments are sent to the authors together with the recommendations of the reviewer and editor. The author is obliged to correct the existing deficiencies and submit to the journal the final version of the printed and electronic text of the article under their previous signature. After correcting the existing deficiencies, the scientific article is resubmitted for review, after which the editorial board grants permission for its publication.
An article that has received a positive review and whose publication is supported by the editorial board is considered accepted for publication.
The process of reviewing manuscript articles is not transparent. Dissemination of information about the process of reviewing a manuscript article entails a violation of copyright. Authors do not have the right to copy the text of the article and use it for their own purposes.
Reviewers, as well as members of the editorial board, may not use the information contained in the manuscript text for their own purposes until the article is published.
Reviews are stored in the journal for 5 years.
Upon request, the journal will send copies of the reviews to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
